My boyfriend and I stayed with this Riad in early 2015, landing on New Year’s Eve – although we were nervous at first because we’d booked the whole holiday in a last-minute panic, our fears melted as soon as we got to Marrakech, navigated through passport control and met their lovely driver who took us straight to the Riad dar Foundouk. The staff could not do enough for us – particularly the incredibly friendly and helpful Hassan, who showed us the quickest routes through the souks and even found us a brilliant restaurant to celebrate the start of 2015! The breakfast offered by the Riad was delicious and plentiful – eggs, muffins, jam, pastries and piping hot coffee – and every day was slightly different, to keep it interesting. We ate on the gorgeous roof terrace every morning to make the most of the Moroccan sunshine: the staff found this hilarious as to them, the weather was freezing; but to us it was blissfully warm.
